United Bates Of America Pt. 2

Welcome back!

This is Part 2 of our awesome stay with our dear friends The Bates.

I'll try not to write so much and try not to be too detailed, So to make this post all about pictures so you can get an idea (a small tiny glimpse) of how much of a good, fun and God glorifying week we had with them.

Here we go, Let the pictures tell the story...

One afternoon, at a local park getting ready for some volleyball!

This is my new friend Josie! She is so precious, loving and kind hearted! It so amazing how much she reminds us and resembles so much of our Rosie... And it turns out, They have the same birthday!

Taking a quick cat nap... for the camera ;)

    Matthew 17:20
"And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."
After breakfast at Cracker Barrel, Nathan took a few of us riding. I was so frightened while on the high way, I wanted to get off right away but with lots of help and encouragement i was ok! Then we made it to the ranch (alive) and i had a blast! Even though i almost fell off and i wasn't very good with the reigns... It was still worth it all!

If you zoom up to this photo you can see one of my slippers in the middle of the road and Nathans going back to fetch it. He was very helpful for wimpy/beginners such as myself

Stopping for a fill up ;)

 Campbell swinging Miss Callie

Beautiful Rosie... uh i mean Josie

Tennessee sky

Carlin encouraged us all to be a ministry, So she brought us to a sweet dear neighbor of the Bates to sing for.

After our afternoon stroll down the lane

These kids loved Norma! Can ya tell?

Nathan took us all out to the lake for a second time. Here we are waiting for tools to get the motor back and running... But after it was fixed we all had such a blast swimming, tubing and jumping off high things (well they all enjoyed that part) ;)

Sunset on the lake. It was sooo pretty! Way prettier in life.. Photo credit goes to Nathan

Everyone. Let me introduce you to my brother. This is Edgar. What is in his hands and whats that on the floor? you ask...That my friends is a milkshake, that Edgar some how managed to paint it all over the Walmart floor. End of story

It is way too late...early. I'm not sure what Trace is doing in this picture

Haha! I'm sure you are all wondering whats going on here. Erin attempting to cut Willie's hair...

Let me just make this clear, She does not know what shes doing, But Willie does'nt know that

They think they're cool...

But they're not... This picture cracks me up! Marty is just in the middle of NO where imagining that she's catching a Frisbee i guess.

"Ye-haw!"

Well, After a week long stay with The Dear Bates Family, The realisation accrued that we had to leave at one point... :( It was sad and it was long but we had to go on with it!

We miss each other already! And can't wait till next time! It shall be soon!

Thanks for stopping by! Come again soon!

United Bates Of America Pt. 1

This past week, Some of us older Roberts children had the pleasure of staying with The Big, Huge and Awesome family The Bates!

We were so blessed by their hospitality and their wonderful testimony of Christ love for us during our stay! All of the children's attitudes toward one another is how a big family of 21 should operate--- Correcting without anger, patience, joy and lots of godly character qualities but what blessed and encouraged me most was their passion for the ministry, every where we went if it wasn't one child it was the other, just looking and seeking out for ways to share the Gospel! I was so impressed and i left challenged to walk out the same!

Here is a little glimpse of our week :) Enjoy!

Norma, preparing herself for horse back ridin' ;)

How many can we fit around one screen?

As my friend Christiana said "They've been Bate'd!" ;)

I think whats really going on in this photo is they got into Lawson's wardrobe while he was gone... With a little help from Zak ;)

The next morning we had the pleasure of tagging along with the Bates for a patriotic singin' at the bank kinda thing

Warden, Isaiah, and Jackson! Hey I'm impressed... I think i got them straight!
